Bella Palanka | Documentary | By Johanna Bentz
This is the story of Emrah, a young man who grew up in Germany to Serbian parents. Now a convicted repeat offender, he no longer qualifies for German citizenship and has been deported to Serbia. It is a country whose language he barely speaks, whose social conventions he’s never learned.
He lives in a run-down hotel which has been transformed into a facility to house other young adults like him, who have been expelled from Germany.
They are left to their own devices, with no support for their re-integration.
